3. What exactly is Native Sons and Daughters™? “Native Sons and Daughters™ are programs that were developed and are administered by National Longhouse, Ltd. These programs along with National Longhouse® are a fundamental part of Lighthouse, Inc.'s work with families, emphasizing the vital role that parents play in the growth and development of their children. The original program plan of sons learning directly from their father was patterned from the tradition of some North American Indian cultural groups. These programs seek to strengthen the foundations for a positive lifelong relationship between parent and child that is mutually beneficial and satisfying. “

Continuing a great tradition of: Camping, Hiking, Parade Float Building, Caving Pinewood Derby Racing, Making Crafts, Storytelling Making Memories that last a lifetime.

Tribal Meeting Nights Tribal Meetings are set by each individual Tribe Mondays or Wednesdays or Fridays are typical Meetings are usually 2 hours long Both parent and child attend Every other 2 – 3 weeks Rotate meetings between houses or Schools Depends on size of tribe 8-15 members meet @ Homes 15-25 members meet @ Schools Or Visit a tribal meeting to find out more
