Homework: Identify your social group both primary and secondary which best defines you. Then identify your status within society. You must include your ascribed, achieved and master statuses. Pair up with a partner who really knows you and compare your answers. See if you agree with one another.

Now it is time to introduce your project Beliefs, Values and/or Norms Project Create a collage which is reflective of your own personal beliefs and values as well as what you consider influential societal norms. In addition to the collage, on a separate piece of paper include a one or two sentence description for each picture or symbol you have included on your collage and identify it as a belief, value or norm. For your norms, distinguish if it is a folkway, law or more. You need to have at least one example of each represented in you collage. This is worth 50pts, and you will present your collage to the class which will be worth 20 pts.
