6 VUcept 2006 Vanderbilt’s New Student Orientation Organization VUcept has been involved in fall orientation since 1963! VUcept has been involved in fall orientation since 1963! Eighty VUceptors were recently selected from a pool of 300+ applicants to work on the Vanderbilt Visions extended orientation program. They have already received preliminary training. 12 Additional Duties in A&S Each Arts and Science faculty member will also serve as a pre-major advisor for the freshmen in his or her Vanderbilt Visions small group. 13 Compensation* Faculty co-facilitators will receive $5,000 for their work in the Vanderbilt Visions program. Faculty will also receive compensation for their service as pre-major advisors. VUceptors will receive a book store credit of $500 per semester for their service in Vanderbilt Visions. *Funding provided by the Provost
