Review Psalm 24:3-5, “Who may ascend into the hill of the L ORD ? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from the L ORD, And righteousness from the God of his salvation.”

What is the heart? The heart – the control center of the inner man. Prov. 4:23 The seat of emotions, thoughts, understanding, attitudes and will. Purity means undiluted and unpolluted

Dangers: Sensual lust - 1 Jn. 2:15-16 Pride and Covetousness Ignorance and unbelief Busyness and clutter The tongue

Maintaining purity Make up your mind! Cf. Joshua 24:15 Sanctify God in your heart – 1 Pet. 3:15 Choose your associates – 1 Cor. 15:33 Be zealous “Meditate on these things” – Phil. 4:8
