Ok, first off, what is language? We define language as… A system of conventional vocal signs by means of which humans communicate

Characterizations of Riddles 1. Alliteration- the repetition of beginning sounds -Sally sold sea shells down by the sea shore

2. Kenning- a specialized metaphor made of compound words - ex. Gas guzzler
