Types of Weapons Musket. Cannon Bayonet Rifle Pistol Submarine Bullets Swords
3
Bullets Soldiers used a mold like this one to make their own musket or rifle bullets. Here is how it worked, the pieces of the mold fit together and the solider would pour melted medal into the mold's spout. After the metal cools the soldier takes the mold and removes his new bullet.
4
Explosives Cannons where the only explosives at the time but there were smaller cannons the size of a shotgun so they were the same wight. So they were affective.
5
Submarines Instead of calling them submarines they called them the turtle. They were little one man submarines so if you were thinking that they were big bulky hollow metal tubes then your wrong. But there was only one of them at the time but later on the turtle was lost because of air tanks. (they were too small) Old sub. New sub.
6
Rifle Rifles were not the solders fist chose of weapon. They may have more of a chance of to hit but they took longer to reload. To reload they would have to clean it out or the gun powder build up. Since the bayonet could not fit on the rifle the rifle men would carry a ax or something to that affect
7
Musket The average solder armed with a musket. Muskets fire 1 bullet every 20 seconds. What do those solders do in those 20 seconds? A lot!! According to there was 13 steps of reloading a musket!!! I don't know them but you get the idea... To load a musket you pour a small amount of powder from powder horn into the muzzle of the gun, then you place a small piece of cloth over the muzzle and put the lead ball over the cloth. Next you take a ramrod and push the ball as far it will go, finally you pour a tiny amount of powder into the priming pan, located on the side of the weapon next to the hammer.

Bayonets They were spears that attach to muskets. They were great for hand to had combat. But not for far. Because they would take the bayonets and they would connect it to the inside but it would block the path of the bullet. Then later on they connected them to the out side. So now muskets were the main guns at the time. Solders would carry bayonets in a blade holder similar to a sword case. The blade holder wold dangle on the side of the solder's pants.
9
Officer Weapons Officer's had a musket, a pistol and a sword. Pistols were mostly used by officers and the cavalry and were only good at very close range. Swords like the musket and the ax that rifle men used they were close combat.
