Assessment: State Assessments State/National Standardized Assessments ▫MSP 5 th Grade – Science required Spring 2015 ▫Smarter Balance Assessment 3 rd – 5 th required Spring 2015 ELA (Writing imbedded at all grades) Math

Assessment: Smarter Balance (SBAC) ▫Cognitive Rigor/Depth Of Knowledge (DOK) Questions asking students to demonstrate a depth of knowledge cognitively deeper that on previous tests. ▫Test Format Changes Computer Based & Performance Task Technology – Keyboarding Training students to access the test format ▫Untested form of assessing mastery of Common Core States using the new assessment are seeing a score recalibration based on the new assessment ▫Whole-Staff training in the Fall/ Parent Presentation in the Early Spring
