Verbs Definition: expresses an action or a state of being- you cannot have a complete sentence without a verb Three types of verbs: 1.Action verb 2.Linking verb 3.Helping

Action Verb Expresses a physical or mental action –Example: The boy walked into his classroom. Physical Action RunReadEatSing Mental Action succeed acknowledge wishhope

Linking Verb It links the subject to a word that identifies or describes it in the predicate. Examples: –The girl is a ballerina. –He feels sick.
