Ch.9, Sec.4 – Energy Resources Nonrenewable Resources Nonrenewable Resources nonrenewable resource: a resource that forms at a rate that is much slower than the rate at which it is consumed fossil fuels: a nonrenewable energy resource formed from the remains of organisms that lived long ago - nuclear fission is also considered a nonrenewable resource (uranium or plutonium is used)
