3. What is S.A.P? S.A.P stands for student assistance program. It is a way to help students who are having problems that impact school. It is here to help you access school and community services.

6. Who can make a referral? School staff Parent or Guardian Friends Administration Self

7. How do I fill out a referral and what do I do with it? Write a note! Put your name and the name of the person you are concerned about. Give a brief description of your concern. Get a form from the guidance office or SAP member.

8. What happens if a referral is made? 1. Information is collected from various people who are involved with the student. 2. Parents are contacted for permission if necessary. 3. An interview takes place between the student and a SAP team member. 4. Parents are contacted to discuss possible solutions. 5. Students are monitored.
