Washington, D.C. Trip 2012 Registration There will be an informational meeting in August of 2012 All interested students and parents should attend meeting Registration period will be from August to end of September 2012

Trip 2012 Cost for Students $858 per student (4 per room) $200 deposit required at registration After the registration is processed, each participant will receive an invoice offering two payment plan options: 1) Pay balance in full 2) Participate in a payment plan, with balance to be paid in full be April 1 st, 2012

Washington, D.C. Trip 2012 What is included in the cost? Round Trip Ground Transportation Lodging (we usually stay in a very nice hotel, like Sheraton Suites or Double Tree) Complete sightseeing each day (with a tour guide) Escort services for evening activities Chaperone at all times Nighttime Security (a private security guard is placed on the floor of the hotel from late in the evening until early morning Most meals (student pays for one fast-food meal along the way and extra snacks)

Washington, D.C. Trip 2012 How much extra money is needed? Enough for one fast-food meal Enough for Snacks and Extra Drinks Enough for Souvenirs There may be time for a couple hours of shopping at a mall in D.C. Most students take $100-$150 for spending money

Washington, D.C. Trip 2012 How is the trip typically set up? We board a private coach at CCMS on Monday, June 4 at 4:30 a.m. When we get close to Knoxville, we will stop to get fuel at a Travel Center. Tour participants will be able to get items to-go, such as breakfast, snacks, drinks. We will stop for fastfood for lunch. We usually try to find an area that has 2 or 3 restaurants within walking distance from the bus to choose from. We will travel to Charlottesville, VA to visit Monticello before it closes. We should arrive there around 4:00 p.m. We will stop for Dinner, usually at Golden Corral. We will continue traveling to Washington, D.C. We should arrive around 9:00 p.m. and check into our hotel. If there is time, and the hotel has a pool that is open, students will be allowed to swim. Day 1 - Monday

We will begin breakfast around 6:30-7:00 a.m. at the hotel We will load the coach and pick up our tour guide We will travel to various landmarks in and around Washington, D.C. One day we will have lunch at The Hard Rock Café in D.C. Lunch and/or dinner is often at a food court, with tour participants receiving vouchers to use on their own Days 2 & 3

We will begin breakfast around 6:30-7:00 a.m. at the hotel We will load the coach The driver will drop the group off close to the Smithsonian Museums Complex The group will visit the various Smithsonian Museums, having lunch in the Air & Space Museum We will be picked up by the driver in the late afternoon, have dinner, and visit some of the memorials that evening We will leave Washington, D.C. around 8:30 p.m. to begin the drive back to Manchester, TN We will sleep on the bus Day 4
