I NTRODUCTION “The gender theories comprise a diverse group of perspectives that specify gender as a critical variable in understanding crime (McShane, 2010, p. 187). The perspective is primarily based upon the male society, because males dominate the government, make rules, set patterns for social society and more; “males are dominate and females are subordinate” (McShane, 2010, p. 187). The goal is to produce a female perspective on society…”by analyzing and evaluating through female perspectives, it is assumed a different view will emerge of personal conflict, crime, and crime prevention” (McShane, 2010, p. 187).
