2.  William Shakespeare was born in Stratford- upon-Avon-Warwickshire in 1564  William was married to Anne Hathaway.  William and Anne Shakespeare have three children.

3.  He had an acting career and was also a poet and an author of many plays.  Shakespeare wrote many famous scripts such as King Lear, Macbeth, Hamlet and Othello  By 1597, 15 of the 37 plays were published.  By 1599 Shakespeare and his business part built a theatre on the south bank of River Thames called The Globe.  The theatre made him an entrepreneur as well as an artist.

4.  He spent his last five years in New Place, Stratford.  In his will, Shakespeare left many of his possessions to his eldest daughter Susanna.  He died at the at of 52 on 23th of April 1616 and was buried at the Holy Trinity Church in Stratford.
