6. Screening Process: Step 1 Parent Referral deadline: — February 3, 2014, 4:00 p.m. — No exceptions Second grade pool candidates are automatically screened. No referral is necessary.

9. Screening Process: Step 4 LOCAL SCREENING COMMITTEE Consists of teachers, administrators, specialists, and AART from the local school Reviews documents submitted for files Prepares GBRS AART prepares files for submission

10. Screening Process: Step 5 CENTRAL SCREENING COMMITTEE Central screening committee reviews files and makes decisions in March/April Oversight committee reviews all decisions in April

11. Screening Process: Step 6 NOTIFICATION Parents notified by letter end of April. Parents may appeal ineligible decisions in June Appeals decisions mailed in July
