Warnings Warnings are things that tell of danger. Example: Street signs with blinking lights are warnings. Predict Predict is to say what will happen. Example: If a morning is hot, people predict hot weather in afternoon. Temperature Temperature is how hot or cold something is. Example: Water freezes when the air temperature is 32 degrees Fahrenheit.

What do you know about tornadoes and hurricanes? P. 18 The World of Weather I see a photo of a thunderstorm with lightning and a map showing a thunderstorm near a town. On page 19, I see computer screens with maps and clouds. I think that in this chapter I will learn about someone whose job is to study storms. Read pages 18-23
