Answer the following questions for the meter 3/4: How many beats per measure? What type of note gets the beat? In a simple meter, the bottom number is divisible by 2.. The top number is 2, 3 or 4 if the meter is simple. In a compound meter, the top number is divisible by 3. The top number is 6, 9, 12 if the meter is compound.
