4 delivering value to the NHS Delivering value to the NHS 4 © NHS Shared Business Services Ltd 2011 Programme Time-line May 2nd – Memorandum of Understanding signed by all PCTs May – June – PCTs carry out due diligence June 30th - NHS SBS Final proposal submitted to PSG for consideration July – PCTs take the business case through Boards for approval / Delegated Authority August 1st – Instruction to proceed signed by the PCTs August - Contract negotiation begins August– Transition preparation begins August - 60 day TUPE consultation begins September – Contract finalised and signed by the Parties November– Service provision / operational management / people transfer into NHS SBS November - Transition to the NHS SBS proposed TOM begins November – March 2012 – NHS SBS undertake a redundancy consultation May 2012 – Service transition completes and the service “goes live” with the NHS SBS TOM
