3. Flow of Communication Scenario : Button fails testing. Product development is advised by their overseas office Who needs to be notified? And what solutions are offered?

4. Button fails testing……. 1 -Overseas Office advises  Product Dev & Trim- The initial fail does not affect bulk t&a 2 - PD speaks to  Trim. Understands what the issue is that the button failed a strength test as it was very thin in the middle. 3 - PD & Trim  Overseas office – ask for the button to be made a little thicker in order to pass the strength test and have button supplier re-submit for testing

5. Button fails testing……. 4 -PD -  Design – Advises button failed but that they are re-testing. In case button doesn’t pass PD is proactive in pulling 2-3 additional button options for design to choose from that have passed testing but will hold until 2 nd test results. Will inform design how many styles that button is being used for. 5 -PD  Overseas office – Will follow up in about 10-14 days on results of 2 nd test

6. Button fails testing…… 6 -Overseas Office  PD & Trim – Advises the the re- submitted button has passed. 7 -PD  Trim or Trim  PD – Ensures that each other know the results of the second test and will confirm to proceed 8 - PD  Design – Confirms to design that there is no longer an issue and all styles with that button are still on time for bulk delivery. In this scenario PD does not need to alert Merch at this time since delivery was not affected and the button isn’t changing since it passed testing the 2 nd time.

7. Button fails testing….delivery affected First 5 steps in communication remain the same. 6 -Overseas Office  PD & Trim - advises button failed 2 nd test submission & button vendor advises they don’t think they can fix it without the aesthetic of the button changing. 7 – PD  Design – Will alert design that button failed and that the supplier does not feel confident that they can fix without making the button look too different than the original. Will show design the options they pulled previously or ask design if they have another option that has already passed testing so the delivery does not move out. 8 Design  PD – Design confirms alternate button approval.

8. Button fails testing….delivery affected 9 PD  Trim/Merch/Tech Design/Design/Production/Overseas Office– PD will advise all of the departments listed above the situation and will confirm the new button style to be used. Again they will advise all styles that use the button so that all parties are clear and that paperwork/records in all departments will be updated. Since this affected the delivery PD will also communicate the new dates to all parties. 10 – PD  Overseas office – Will update system/BOM with new button info and send to overseas office so they can alert the factory of the change. 11 – Tech Design  Overseas office – Tech design will update their spec sheets/Web PDM
