6 Connecting Devon and Somerset Additional funding Additional funding: Rural communities broadband fund: £700,000 to extend coverage for superfast broadband in Dartmoor and Exmoor. Broadband innovation fund: two harder to reach rural communities in Exmoor have had the opportunity to pilot a new basic broadband scheme using a mix of satellite and wireless technology.

14 Connecting Devon and Somerset Future activity Future activity: Complete Stage 1 Deliver Connecting Dartmoor & Exmoor phase Procure supplier(s) for main Superfast Extension Programme – extending superfast broadband to at least 95% by 2017 for those outside National Parks Launch procurement this Autumn Identify preferred supplier by Spring 2016 Obtain State Aid clearance in parallel Examine options for remaining 5% required to achieve 100% superfast by 2020

Cosmic and Peninsular Enterprise are delivering training, support and advice to communities and businesses throughout the programme area.
