3. Warmup problem—just like yesterday’s Please work on this problem while I check homework. Recall from yesterday—find slope and find the y-intercept. Then write the final equation. Write the slope intercept form of the linear equation that passes through the two points (3, 1) and (-3, -3).

4. Essential Questions How do I use the sets of real numbers to describe numbers? How do I determine the accuracy of my answers?

5. Classwork On the handout— “Is it Rational?” – Work with a partner to fill in the blanks. Be sure you can explain why a number is rational or not. “Always, Sometimes, or Never True” – Evaluate each statement based on our discussion of the Closure Property.

10. Homework On the handout: – Algebra 2 CCSS Unit 1 Lesson 1 (8 problems) Remember order of operations for 1 and 2. “Explain the steps” means to write out in words the procedures you took to solve. Plug in values and evaluate for #3. Problems 4-6 relate to the Venn diagram we covered today. Problems 7 and 8 require you to apply the properties correctly.
