9. Scale Model Activity
Objective: Develop a scale model representing the distances between objects in our Solar System.
Materials: Planet Sketches, Colored Pencils, “Solar System Distances” Chart, Register Tape, Meter Stick, Glue or Tape
Procedure:
Color & cut out each planet.
Use your chart and meter stick to help you mark the exact distances on your register tape (assume that the beginning of the tape represents the Sun).
Glue or tape your planets at the appropriate distances on the register tape.
Make sure that you names & class period is written on your register tape.
