3 Design your own villain Task 1 = Finish the following sentence in your own words to create a personal definition: A villain is… Task 2 = Look at the selection of images and quotes, annotating them with your first impressions in terms of the idea of villainy.

4 Design your own villain Summarise what you think the main characteristics of villains are before you create your own. You can either do this using your own ideas or you can take ideas from different well know villains to piece together your villain. You can either draw and annotate your villain or you can do a piece of descriptive writing.

5 Introducing Mr Hyde Explore how Mr Hyde is introduces to the reader. Complete the table which explores Mr Hyde’s introduction through the story told by Mr Enfield. Write in as much detail as you can. Some of the details have been filled in for you.

6 Review Which three quotations do you think are most important from the opening chapter(s) and why?
