Using Microsoft Access You can use the database we just created to create address labels, if your printer will accept label stationery (most will) First purchase the self stick labels from a stationary store and load them into your printer tray Note the type of labels you have bought because the program will ask you later on To print labels, get to the Main window, and click NEW

Using Microsoft Access Choose the Label Wizard Click the drop down arrow and choose the database with your label information in it – in this case it is the Addresses database Click OK

Using Microsoft Access Now the program wants to know the specification s for your labels This should be on the label box If you don’t know, accept defaults for now Click Next

Using Microsoft Access Choose the font, color and size that you wish or accept the defaults When you are satisfied, click Next

Using Microsoft Access Next you have to construct your label Click on the Fields you want to include Then click the right arrow key to carry it across to the label on the right Note that I wanted First Name and Surname on the same line, but I wanted the address on a different line, so I had to press Enter to start a new line

Using Microsoft Access Now the program needs to know how you want the labels sorted when they are printed out I chose Primary Key because that way they will be the same order they were positioned in the first table we drew up You can choose any other filed you wish Then click Next

Using Microsoft Access Finally, the program needs to know by what name these labels will be saved in case you need them again You enter the name of your choice and then choose whether to preview your labels or go back and modify your design Then choose Finish

Using Microsoft Access You will then be given a preview of your labels (if you chose that) If you wish you can print out these labels from this screen Choose FILE and PRINT just as you normally would If you have chosen the proper format your labels should be printing successfully.
