2. PERSONAL PERCEPTIONS WITHIN CULTURE Uncertainty and Anxiety Uncertainty is a state of being unsure of something, unsettled or in doubt or dependent on chance in unstructured situations. Uncertainty causes anxiety – a diffuse state of being uneasy or worried about what may happen.
