2 PERSONAL PERCEPTIONS WITHIN CULTURE Uncertainty and Anxiety Uncertainty is a state of being unsure of something, unsettled or in doubt or dependent on chance in unstructured situations. Uncertainty causes anxiety – a diffuse state of being uneasy or worried about what may happen.

3 PERSONAL PERCEPTIONS WITHIN CULTURE Attitude Attitude is the psychological state or quite stable opinion regarding a person, object, or activity, which influences obvious behavior and misinterprets perception in predisposed ways.

4 PERSONAL PERCEPTIONS WITHIN CULTURE Ethnocentrism Ethnocentrism is the predisposition to view the world mainly from the perspective of one’s own culture. Ethnic identity is the sameness of a band or nation of people who share common customs, traditions, historical experiences, and in some instances geographical residence.
