16 SWC 2015 - Allowance Information In most cased the following formula is used to calculate payments from allowances ((annual allowance x pay factor)/12) x applicable months e.g. For an allowance of £1200, with a pay factor of 1 and start and end dates indicating three months Payment = ((£1200 x 1)/12) x 3 Payment = £100 x 3 Payment = £300

19 SWC 2015 - Spot Allowances Most schools have £100 and £26 have what they consider to spot allowances for their support staff FMS want this expressed as 12 times the amount for 1 month Personnel wants this expressed as the amount over a month SWC asks if it should divide the amount by 12 or use the actual amount

20 SWC 2015 - ~ (Tilde) Allowances We have re-instated the functionality that allows schools to treat allowances as Base Pay if they use a code beginning with ~ and the allowance is open on Census Day
