2. Abraham Lincoln was against slavery. He thought that all people should be free.

3. Lincoln did not believe that slavery should spread further. He thought that it was wrong. He believed African-Americans should have the same rights as Americans, such as life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Stephen Douglas thought that each new state and territory should decide weather or not to have slavery. That is also what the Kansas- Nebraska Act allowed.
