2. 1824, The Very Beginning In 1824, John Cadbury opened a grocer’s shop at 93 Bull Street, Birmingham. He sold coco and drinking chocolate, which he prepared himself using a pestle and mortar. The manufacturing business was built in 1831 when john Cadbury decided to buy a four story warehouse in crooked lane In 1842 john Cadburys was selling 16 different varieties of drinking chocolate and 11 different chocos. In 1847, Cadburys moved to a bigger factory in bridge street in the centre of Birmingham. In 1875 a Swiss manufacturer made the first milk chocolate bar, Cadburys made the first Easter egg. 1878, the bridge street factory was becoming to small and john Cadbury did not like the environment as it was so dull so he and his brother started searching for a special place to have there new factory. George cadbury had already built houses for the key workers and in 1893 he bought another 120 acres to build houses on. In 1895 he bought another 140 acres to build cottages on.

3. What are the major changes that have occurred? Over the years Cadburys has changed a lot. John Cadburys started of building a grocers shop on a street in Birmingham and now the company that he made is a world wide treat. Cadburys started of by making drinking chocolate and now to making new ideas every minute, creating them and carrying its famous name along with it. Cadburys chocolate is a very popular brand and is well known to everyone. The adverts have changed massively from a couple drinking the Cadburys drinking chocolate to a gorilla playing the drums or two children moving there eyebrows to look like they are dancing.
