School or system calendar that can continuously updated or shared by the system and or the community
A way to combine a word document with a spreadsheet
A great way to survey a group of people within or outside the school system
A great way to differentiate instruction as well as providing info to staff members without face to face meetings.

3. Uses for wikis
Develop an assignment that would consist of having each student provide information to the same document by signing in and providing their input to a paper.
Devise a problem in math or science that requires research and multi- step procedures. Have students provide pieces of informational research to the wiki, and then solve the problem as a virtual group.
As an educational leader a wiki could be used as a means of having your staff offer information about a school related issue without requiring a faculty meeting.
A school district could make comments to a wiki about the establishment of a new policy that is being proposed.
As a lead teacher, one could utilize a wiki to provide crucial information and ask for suggestions from their department to plan for curricular strategies.
Compile a curriculum map across the curriculum.

No more excuses of why a students project is not available.
