3. Penman meets every morning in the Pub. Lab. Come join the staff or stop in and submit your writing and art to our award-winning publication. There will be tea!

4. Attention Seniors. If you passed the AP US History exam last year and would be interested in helping tutor this year’s students, see Mr. Jacobs in room 3023 as soon as possible. IB Diploma students can earn CAS hours.

5. If you like to argue or debate, then you should check out the Washington-Lee Debate Team. The debate team will be holding interest meetings after school Tuesday in room 4209, Mr. Bui’s room.

6. If you are interested in joining the Scholastic Team and appearing on the TV show “It’s Academic” please come to the meeting tomorrow after school in Mrs. Sotomayor’s Room 4002. We need new members from all grade levels

7. Fall one act auditions will be held after school in room 1401 today and Wednesday.

8. Do you like SCI? Not afraid to speak your mind? Then find out what the REAL CSI do at WL--come to a SPEECH and STUDENT CONGRESS INTEREST meeting tomorrow from 3:10-3:45pm in ROOM 2219. If you can't make the meeting but are interested, drop by ROOM 2219 anytime to see Coach Reyes for information about the team.

9. There will be a meeting for returning TSA members tomorrow in room 2224.

10. Are you a born leader? Are you interested in Business, Marketing, or Hospitality? Do you like to compete? If so, come to the DECA information session after school tomorrow in Mrs. Moore’s Room 4008-B.

11. Best Buddies will be having their interest meeting tomorrow in the Little Theater at 3 pm.

12. Cancer Education and Action Club will be holding its first meeting of the school year tomorrow in Mr. Phillips' Room (2212) after school. Snacks will be provided.

13. Entrepreneur Club will meet this Wednesday after school in Ms. Jordan's room, 2012. Come by if you're interested in learning more about economics from a business perspective or want to learn more about starting your own business.

14. Wiffle Ball Club will be holding an interest meeting on wednesday in the new oc1, right after school. The meeting is mandatory for people who aren’t busy.

15. The first Saturday School of the year will be September 19 from 9:00-3:00. If you need ART Bus transportation to get to and from Saturday School, please visit the main office on Thursday or Friday to ask for free ART Bus tokens.

16. Attention IB diploma students: There is a mandatory IB seminar for all IB diploma juniors and seniors on Thursday during Generals Period in the Little Theater. Students should report to their GP teacher for attendance and morning announcements prior to going to the Little Theater.
