What are the different types? Commercial Residential Defense Public works Industrial

What is Commercial? Any structure relating to commerce, the sale of items

What are some examples of commercial buildings? Target Walmart Strip mall Enclosed mall

What is residential? Single family housing consists of one family unit per structure. Multi Family Housing is either duplex or apartment type structures

What are examples of residential living? Apartments Condos Houses Mobile homes

What is Defense? Defending against danger, injury, or attack

What are some examples? military bases National Guard armories missile silos satellite launching facilities

What is Public Works? structures open for common or general use generally associated with some type of public service

Examples a public road a police station a public pool Law enforcement Water and waste Health Education Transportation Recreation.

Law Enforcement Constitutes the enforcement of civil and criminal law. structures include police stations, jails, and municipal courthouses.

Waste and Water A water supply system. unwanted substance or material, such as waste products that need to be disposed of. Examples rain water drainage pipes, water lines, sewage pipes, gas lines, electric transmission lines, and communication lines.

Health Dealing with general wellness and enforcement of health and safety codes in a community. Examples clinics, hospitals, emergency response facilities (Fire and rescue).

Education The process or act of educating. Examples pre-schools, elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, community colleges, and universities.

Transportation An act or an instance of transporting goods or people from one location to another. Examples roads, rails, airports and runways, dredged channels, ports, bus stations and stops, bridges, tunnels, and any supporting structures.

Recreation Activities that divert or amuses or stimulates ones mind or body. Examples playgrounds, golf courses, tennis courts, skate parks, bike trails, scenic canoe trails, theme parks, pools, fishing piers, national and state parks, coliseums, theaters, arcades, and many others.

What is Industrial? This consists of structures relating to manufacturing, whether heavy manufacturing or light manufacturing

Examples Automobiles, steel production (heavy) fabric, food processing, shoe making (light)
