Dear Mrs. Terry, I had a student in my Kindergarten class who had his finger pricked at the health fair. The results showed that he had a high cholesterol. The parents were alarmed and carried him to the doctor. A repeat cholesterol test confirmed that the level was indeed elevated. They were told it was probably hereditary. The parents were tested, and the dad’s was high, too. The mother reported to me that the entire family changed the way they eat and have started trying to live healthier. This family was greatly impacted by the health fair. Thank you, Jeanise Crim
