WELL-KNOWN EFFECTS OF EDUCATION Education reduces poverty and boost jobs and growth. Education improves people’s chances of a healthier life. Education promotes healthy societies.

EDUCATION AFFECTS POVERTY LEVEL EFA Global Monitoring Report team calculations show that if all students in low income countries left school with basic reading skills, 171 million people could be lifted out of poverty.

WIDESPREAD TEACHER SHORTAGE Shikapur, Sind, Pakistan: With only 1 teacher for 100 students, a pupil sometimes stands in for the teacher.
