Temples Greek life was dominated by religions so their temples were the biggest and most beautiful This temple was dedicated to two gods, Hephaestus and Athena

3 Capital Orders The Greeks developed 3 architectural systems/designs called the orders: - Doric - very sturdy - top (capital) is plain - used in mainland Greece - Ionic - two scrolls at the capital - fancier than the Doric design - Corinthian - has a taller capital - Is more elaborate than the other two - capital has acanthus leaves sprouting from the column
