Kindergarten Homework Homework for week of: September 2-6 Due: Friday, September 6th Reading Read a book with your child each night. Stop a few times during the reading and ask questions such as: “What do you think will happen next?” or” How do you think that made him feel?”. During the reading, have your child read the sight words “I” and “can.” Writing Read the nursery rhymes to your child. Help him/her figure out the missing word and glue or tape the word in the correct spot. Share with your child a nursery rhyme you learned as a child. Social Studies/Science * Have your child draw pictures of him or herself as a baby and as a kindergartener. Have a discussion with your child regarding the changes that have occurred since he or she was a baby.. Math Have your child complete the math paper on shapes. Every night this week before bed or In the car practice counting to 20 Weekly Notes If you send your child to school with a sweater or extra article of clothing, please put his/her name on the inside tag. Please keep an eye out for Open House information coming home in your child’s folder. No School Sept. 2 nd Labor Day Name ______________________________
