Metallic Oxides color the glaze Fe 2 O 3 black and red glazes 1 – 5% FeO black and red glazes 1 – 5% CoCO 3 Deep blue 1-3% Co 3 O 4 blue 1% CuCO 3 greens, reds, blues 2% TiO 2 (Rutile) mottled look for blues 0.10% MnO 2 makes blacks blacker and blues bluer 3% SnO 3 makes whites whiter 10% CrCO 3 green 3%
