3 What is this advertising? What year do you think this advertisement is from and why? Why is The Great Gatsby being referenced in this advertisement? What is “Deco” and what connection has it to The Great Gatsby? (use a dictionary)

5 Where are these people and what are they participating in? What year do you think this clip is from and why? Do you agree with what the man says? Explain. Gatsby, he was who he was, and he did what he did. And, because he wasn’t ready to get real with the story, it caught up to him.

8 Gatsby Soundtrack Look at the list of artists included on the soundtrack. How many of them do you know? Why do you think the film makers decided to use these artists for the film’s music? Would you rather see a film set in the 20’s have a soundtrack with authentic music from that era or is modern music more appropriate? Explain.
