Gravitational Force Gravity is a force that pulls objects towards each other. Two factors affecting the gravitational attraction between objects are mass and distance. Gravitational force is involved in this experiment because gravity pushes the boat down but the buoyant force balances it out. Buoyant Force Water and other fluids exert an upward force called the buoyant force that acts on submerged objects. The buoyant force acts in the direction opposite to the force of gravity, so it makes an object feel lighter.

To rap this project up, buoyant force and gravity played a huge role in this experiment. The force that helped the boat float was buoyant force. Buoyant force is the upward force on a submerged object. The force acting in the opposite direction of the buoyant force is gravity. Gravity is the force that pushes/ pulls objects towards each other. Gravity is why we stay on the ground and also why our boat project worked. THE END
