4. FRIENDSHIPS Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck I chose the song Lean On Me because of the fact that it has a lot of the same descriptions that Lenny and George had in their friendship. They both needed each other and depended on each other for emotional and physical support.

12. DISCRIMINATION Glory The movie’s main theme was racism because of the Civil War and the South. The song that I chose was Southern Man because it really brought the southern views and discrimination to the forefront. It expanded on the idea that racism was still going on strong in the south.
