1 A Series of Unfortunate Events; The Austere Academy
By: Athena G.

2 Nm B Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire are sent to Prufrock Preparatory School. The vice Principle of this school is named Mr. Nero. This is not considered an ordinary boarding school for many reasons. Vice Principle Nero Violet Kalus Sunny

3 One reason being that Sunny, an infant, has to work as the secretary for the vice principle where she has to do things like paper work, and answering the phone.

4 Another reason being that every day in the afternoon, all the students have to listen to Mr. Nero’s 6 hour violin recital. Every student agrees that he is the worst violinist they have ever heard. If they are late to his recital, they have to buy him a bag of candy, and watch him eat it.

5 Lastly another reason that this school would be very abnormal is because of where the Baudelaire’s have to sleep. The room is described as a tiny shack made out of tin. Their shack consisted of snapping crabs, fungus dripping from the ceiling, bales of hay as their beds, and the walls were painted with pink and green hearts.

6 The motto is: Memento Mori (Remember you will die)
Ever since the Baudelaire’s parents mysteriously died in a fire 4 years ago, the Baudelaire orphans have been trying to run away from a man named Count Olaf. He has been trying to kidnap the orphans so that he can take their fortune. Klaus, known for being very intelligent, found this out. Count Olaf One of the most strangest things about coming to the boarding school is the schools motto.
