BREW in the West Midlands Business Resource Efficiency and Waste The West Midlands BREW funding for 2005/6 is substantially committed. UKTI is the national government organisation that supports both companies in the UK trading internationally and overseas companies seeking to locate in the U.K. In the the West Midlands UKTI works closely with the Development Agency - Advantage West Midlands to deliver an agreed international strategy.

Regional Internationalisation of Clusters project covering all ten priority clusters £4 million over 4 years + leverage of core funding Delivered through the five international trade teams at each Chamber/Business Link supported by regional staff Cluster leads and coordinators 50+ International Trade Advisers

Examples of Achievements Environmental training company on the “Passport” programme has won business from as far afield as Brunei and Kazakhstan A Black Country engineering company who have participated in the “Passport” and Wind Energy programmes have raised exports from zero to 30% of turnover A land remediation company has set up a successful distribution network throughout Central Europe
