2. Winter Winter It is a very cold winter. All the leaves fall of decidous trees in autmn. The months of winter are November, December and January. The roads are VERY slippery.

4. Hibernation A lot of animals hibernate in the winter. Some animals that hibernate are the hedgehogs, bear, and lots more. Swallows go to Africa for winter, Squirrels collect nuts and go to sleep and when they wake up they are very hungry so they eat their nuts and go to sleep again

6. Sneachta Bhí brat bán sneachta sa chrann agus bhí brath bán sneachta ar an talamh. Rinne mé fear sneachta. Chuir mé hata, lámhainní agus scarf air.

7. Snow There was a white blanket on the ground and on the trees. We made very big snowmen.

8. Clothes In winter we like to wear warm clothes. We wear woolly jumpers, woolly socks, warm pants and snow boots.

10. The big snow of 1947 On the 24 th of February 1947 there was a big blizzard in Ireland. Everyone was snowed in to their house. To get water they had to melt snow balls. They could not get to all the livestock
