1. iPad Project Information

2. Each student will receive  An iPad 2  An Otterbox Case  A Power Brick  A Power Cord  You must keep your iPad in the case given to you by BHS ***All materials must be returned at the end of the school year in the same condition that they were received.

3. iPads Checked out to Students  12 th Grade- Friday, September 13  11 th Grade- Monday, September 16  10 th Grade- Tuesday, September 17  9 th Grade- Wednesday, September 18  Dual- Credit can pick up their iPad during the week of check out  Make up Day/ Absences- Friday September 20  All iPads will be handed out via English classes

4. What will this cost you?  BISD will require a once a year Usage Fee of $30 in order for students to receive their iPad.  This fee will help the District to replenish and update devices.  Students may also be charged up to $50 to repair or replace devices the first time, second repair will be the total cost of repair

5. Pledge and Usage Fee  You must turn in your signed pledge and pay the $30 usage fee to receive an iPad  All library, textbook, and iPad fees must be paid to receive an iPad

6. How can I pay the usage fee?  Students may pay at a table available during lunch.  Pay online with Paypal through the BHS website.  Pay before or after school in the library.

9. You have paid your fee once you receive confirmation

10. iPads for You: Trust=Responsiblity  You will use your own iTunes account or a parent’s iTunes account to set up the iPad.  If you want to create one before the iPads are checked out, go to iTunes online.  You will receive instructions on how to set up the iTunes account on the day you receive the iPad if you need to set it up then.  The apps we purchase for the you will remain yours.

11. Which Apps will we buy for you first?  The first apps we will give you are:  Pages  Keynote  Garageband  iMovie

12. Trust=Responsibility  You will be allowed to download the apps you choose in addition to the apps we give you.  In order to receive the apps we give you, you will need to download Absolute MDM.

13. Absolute at iBHS will not be used restrict your actions on the iPad.  Management of the iPads through Absolute at iBHS will consist of:  Deploying apps to all students  Identifying iPads that enter the campus

14. What if something happens?  If your iPad is broken or damaged, take it to the library for repairs within 3 days.  Your repaired iPad will be returned to you when it is returned from the repairmen and your deductible is paid.  If your iPad is lost or stolen, contact the library within 3 days. A police report will need to be filed.

15. No Internet Access at Home?  Many apps work without Internet access.  There is Public Internet access at the public library, many restaurants and several businesses.  You can see a map of Belton Wireless at http://www.beltonwireless.com/locations http://www.beltonwireless.com/locations

16. Internet Access at School  Internet access at school will continue to be filtered and monitored by BISD.  The use of your iPad at home is up to your parents and you. Be safe and smart.

17. A few tips…  You may go to the library for issues with the iPad.  Make sure to have your iPad passcode and iTunes account information memorized, but don’t share! Today’s bff might be tomorrow’s ex-bff!
