2  Read pages 89-102 with the people at your table  Take turns reading aloud  Answer questions as a group on one piece of paper (put everyone’s names on it!)  Finish old work if necessary

3 1. Why do you think Andy described his feelings as ‘carrying around Mike Tyson’s Punching Bag’? 2. Were you surprised that Andy talked about suicide in this conversation and why? 3. What suggestion does Dr. Caruthers make to help Andy and do you think he will follow it?

4 4. What does the title ‘Night and Dreams’ reveal to you about what you will be reading? 5. Why do you think the author had Monty ask about what color people dream in? 6. How effective was Andy’s nightmare in exploring the theme of guilt and why?
