South Africa History South Africa is home to some of the oldest archaeological and human fossil sites in the world. These sites suggest species existed in South Africa three million years ago. Modern Human’s have inhabited South Africa for about 170,000 years. It is a nation of about 50 million people of many origins, cultures, languages, and religions.

South African Geography South Africa is divided into nine provinces. It is located in the southern most region of Africa. It is very well known for its sunshine. It also is a relatively dry country with many desert areas. Bloemfontein one of South Africa’s cities gets the coldest Winter weather of -2. The Drakensberg mountains is the highest mountain range in South Africa

South African Customs Family is very important to the African society network. Boys and girls both have special training before they could marry. training before they could marry. South Africans love Soccer, Rugby, and Cricket.

South African Food The food in South Africa is often called a “rainbow cuisine” because it is influenced by so many settlers of Africa. South African Schools If you were not old enough to be in the first grade you didn’t go to school. Primary schools hold students grades 1 st through 7th grade, unlike America where there are grades pre-k through 5 th. The Maximum amount of teachers at a school is 8.

South African Clothing South African clothing comes in many colors and patterns. Since Egypt is in South Africa you may see Egyptian clothing in Africa. A South African tribe leader wears leopard skins and bishop bird feathers.

South African Festivals South Africa’s festivals are listed by month like in September there is a whale festival. South Africa has a special wine and food festival on September 10 th and 11 th. November is the only month with one festival in the month.
