Indian Nationalism Indian National Congress –Not calling for immediate independence but reforms –Problem – Hindu vs. Muslim Indians 1915 – Mohandas Gandhi practices peaceful resistance to British Rule 1947 – India granted their independence from Great Britain 1948 – Gandhi is assassinated
