Joan Of Arc is famous because she led the french army in 1431 during the 100 year war. She was also the only female to control an army in the war.

Around the summer of 1424, Joan said that she started to receive visions of Archangel Michael, St. Catherine [ of Alexandria], St. Margaret [of Antioch], Archangel Gabriel, and many others.

Joan of Arc was important to the French because she freed them from the English. Joan was the only brave woman to fight in the hundred years‘ war and she was the first woman to ever lead a French army to victory.

Joan was captured at Compiègne on 23 May 1430 and transferred to the English, she was placed on trial in Rouen by a selected group of pro-English clergy men.

She was burned at the stake in Rowen France where she was captured by the English army.

Her ashes were scattered throughout the Seine River.
