Ma’s History n Ma was born and raised in the small coastal town of New Bern, N.C. n The youngest of four children born to farmer Cecil Brinson and his wife, Mary. n As a child, she helped on the family farm and was active in the church. n Ma enjoyed fishing with her father, always known as “Papa” to his grandchildren. n As an adult, Ma moved to Michigan and raised three children of her own. n She graduated with honors from MSU with a degree in Agribusiness.

4. Ma’s Only Brother, Cecil n Cecil, a retired electrician, has recently joined the ministry. n He plans on doing missionary work in Africa. n We all admire his kindness and wit. When do we eat?

5. Ma’s Oldest Sister, Ellen n Ellen (on the left) has kayaked on almost every major river in the U.S. n She and her cousin, Clare, are seen here discussing her next adventure, South America.

6. Ma’s Older Sister, Dorothy n Dorothy loves gardening and enjoying nature. n Her greatest love is teaching. n Even at the family reunion, she was doing what she loves.

7. Introducing Mama’s pride and joy, her children!!

8. Eldest Daughter, Sheri n Sheri lives near Myrtle Beach, S.C. n She manages a coastline resort. n Continuing the family line, Sheri recently discovered that she is pregnant and due in October.

9. Middle Child, Brad. n Brad lives in New Bern, N.C. with his wife, Tracy and three year old son, Ben. n He owns a lawn care/landscape design business. n Brad is an avid hunter, fisherman and cook.

10. Ma’s Favorite Child, ME!! n Last to leave the nest, currently living in Lansing, MI. n My major is Social Work. n I enjoy movies, cooking and reading Terry Pratchett books.

11. From the oldest... n Grandma Lola is the family matriarch, age 96. n She guides us with her wisdom and wit. n She credits her longevity to pina coladas and Chinese food.

12. To The Youngest!! n Ben is the youngest, so far. n He enjoys dirt, bugs and cookies. n Ben is possibly the coolest member of the family. Where’s my Harley?
