WAYS TO GET THROUGH QUITTING Make deals with good friends to quit. Smokers often hate other people quitting, so be prepared for a new put-downs. Prepare for a tough few days when you first quit. Get your family a support. And remember, it takes about a month for the nicotine cravings subside. Take it one day at a time and soon smoke free for the rest of your life.
