1. SCIENCE FAIR MEETING WELCOME Y’ALL!

2. PURPOSE OF MEETING To welcome and inform the students and their parents about the Science or Social Studies Fair The fair project will contribute to their grade in their class To inform parents about the increase of paperwork and supervision required for project ideas that require human subjects, potentially dangerous situations, or anything regarding animals, microbes, or bacteria.

3. REQUIREMENTS All projects need to Be simple and on a triboard Focus on one specific question/problem Of interest to the student Have either practical, consumer, or environmental significance Traditional StudentsMagnet Students Can chose between the Social Studies Fair or the Science Fair Same as Traditional BUT… If they choose to do a Social Studies Fair Project, the student will be required to complete a STEM related competition

4. IMPORTANT DATES Letter Due Back- September 17 Topic Choice Due- September 25 To Be Determined Dates: Science Fair Project- due in November around Thanksgiving break The Science Fair- will be held sometime in December District Science Fair- will be held sometime in January

5. OUR GOAL Our goal for the Science Fair is to reach district, state, and the national level Columbus/ P.C. Inventor’s Association
