Welcome to our revision guide! Why should we study? Go over work we’ve covered We remember info more clearly We can then do our best in exams Everyone is then proud of our efforts We feel good about ourselves!
2
The thoughts of studying is sometimes more daunting than the actual studying part! Follow the timetable I have given you. However, include rewards like a DVD / computer game / outside AFTER studying a topic successfully. Study at a time that suits you - avoid planning to study during TV shows that you enjoy etc. Take 2 x 15min sessions at most at one time.
3
Room should be airy, quiet with a clean desk TV should be OFF! (Remember rewards!) Background music isn’t recommended.

3 easy steps: Change, Challenge, Treats Step 1: Change – stimulates our brains… Make and label diagrams, time-lines, charts. Make study cards with your own bullet points. Use colours and highlighters. Step 2: Challenge – our brains love a challenge! Ask a family member to test you on topic. Teach a family member about the topic. Then get them to ask you qs on the topic.
5
Step 3: Treats – nice to fell they are deserved! More stopping and starting is better revision. Relax during your breaks - TV, computer, outside… Go back to study motivated and fresh! Food breaks: Your brain loves fruit, fish, vegetables and water!
6
Be focused, make study worthwhile- (quality not quantity) Have a vision of success, you CAN do well! It is nice to achieve - you deserve it!! Finally, remember BALANCE! - Desire to do well, stick to study plan - Don’t over-worry, don’t be stressed!
